Search warrant on client’s home uncovered a weapon and multiple marijuana plants growing inside home. Client charged with PWID-Marijuana and faced a maximum of 20 years in jail and $25,000 fine. Client was also college student at time and risked expulsion from school and inability to find employment due to potential conviction. Able to negotiate to get client enrolled in a pre-trial diversion program whereby all charges were dismissed and client was able to maintain status as student.
