Client traveling through Nebraska on I-80 back home to Connecticut when his vehicle was stopped and searched by Omaha Police. Search revealed over 40 lbs of marijuana as well as over 100 hits of LSD and a user amount of psilocybin mushrooms. Client facing PWID-Marijuana, PWID-LSD and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Facing a total of 45 years in jail and $60,000.00 in fines. Able to negotiate scenario wherein client only charged with the marijuana and not the other substances. Later, was able to negotiate a plea agreement wherein client did not serve any additional jail time or probation and was able to return home to Connecticut.
