Client was traveling back home to Chicago with 2 other friends through Nebraska on I-80 when their vehicle was stopped and searched by law enforcement. Search revealed over 60 lbs of marijuana. Client charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana and was facing 20 years in prison and a $25,000.00 fine. Able to successfully negotiate a plea bargain wherein client convicted of a misdemeanor offense and did not have to serve any additional jail time, thus allowing client to continue her career in the medical field.
